[Trainer-talk] a netbook

I myself don't have one yet but many of my blind colleagues have them. I
work in the technology department at the Criss Cole rehabilitation Center.
They love them and I have seen their machines and am considering getting
one. They work pretty much like a regular laptop. The nice thing is that
they are smaller and lighter than a traditional laptop but the QWERTY keys
are the same size as a traditional laptop. All you need is the usual screen
access software package and whatever applications you want to install. The
features you get on the machine will depend on which one you choose the same
as if you bought a standard laptop.
So, you don't need anything special to use the mini.
HTH
Happy shopping.

Howdy,
I've been seeing these Del Netbooks for sale at a very good price. I'm
wondering if anyone has used them and if so, how do they work for you? Does
JAWS run on them OK? What would I need special if I were to get one?
Jim
