Here at the SC Commission for the Blind, this is the type of scanner/printer we are purchasing for our consumers. It works good with Open Book or K1000. HTH

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Scanner compatibility

Hi all,

Someone wants to donate a Brother MFC-5100C all-in-one to our agency for
the express purpose of using it for scanning.

Does anyone have any experience with this scanner, or any Brother
all-in-ones, with either Open Book or K1000?

TIA,

-- Rob
