I fixed my volume issue by running the apple updater inside of windows. then I fixed the windows freezing up issue by turning off the user account control, and also going to the nvidia website and getting the g4 am9 notebook series drivers for 64bit windows7 professional.
installed, rebooted. its working great also speech recognition with system access screen reader in windows7 works great as well! I can control the computer by voice using system access or system access to go www.satogo.com which is free.
