NFBTRANS is an open-source Braille translation package.  It runs under DOS though, so doesn't work with anything.  It takes files and translates them, so it would work with things you send to the Pac Mate Braille Display or other display, but would not give you real-time translation.

Hi, I have a question.  What is NFBTrans?  Does it replace Duxbury? Will it work with PacMate and other displays?
