[Trainer-talk] Fwd: Enroll Now for the November Certification Course!

I worked my way through Cathyanne's course back in 2002 or 2003. I paid for a good portion of the course myself. Though the price has gone up over the years, I would participate again in a heartbeat today, knowing the value of the content. Since completing the class, I worked for 7 years as an assistive tech specialist, and for the past 1.5 years I have been the director of assistive technology for the lions Center for the Blind in Oakland California. I absolutely attribute my success, in part, to the knowledge and discipline gained from Access Technology Institute. Don't judge things based on a monetary value. $10,000 is less than half of what many people put into just 1 year of college at a great number of universities. I could have taken this class, sat around and done nothing, and the money would have been an unwise investment. But instead, I signed up, paid attention, applied the skills, and find myself gainfully employed and prospering.

Actually, there are quite a few graduates who've paid for the course out of
their own pocket. When prospective students approach me wishing to pay for
the course, I ask them two questions:

1. How committed are you to being the best trainer you can be?
2. How much can you reasonably afford to pay monthly for the course?

We take it from there. Any financial arrangements are between myself and my
graduates. They are all treated the same and receive the same lifetime
ongoing services as those who pay full price. I have taken graduates from
Office 2003 through Office 2010. They've learned JAWS 8 through JAWS 12
because I am as committed to their success as they are.

Any financial arrangements made are between me and my graduates so I won't
give any names, it's no one's business who received a discount and who could
afford to pay full price.

I'll leave it at that. I've worked with many of you on this list and I
believe my reputation stands on its own merit.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I'll have nothing further to say
on this matter.

CathyAnne

David,

you should include in your note, the cost is roughly $10,000.
It would be interesting to know how many of the certified names would be on
the list if they had to pay out of pocket instead of a tax write off by a
state agency.
