I know my writing is bad and I'm sorry about that but this is a very
real child. I wish this wasn't the case but we need help.
The school district is trying to cobble together their own program.
They already have students going to the preschool school for the blind
(BCLC). But are denying Nathan to be sent there. The schools TVI's and
other specialists do not have experience working with blind
preschoolers. We have tried to work with the school but they are not
listening to anything we say. The parents have seen that this is
hurting their son. Last year Nathan was the only verbal child in his
class and this year the district continues to block him from getting
help from specialist that have experience. And there own people keep
doing the wrong things, all of which are simple to fix. They didn't
even have a TVI at the beginning of the school year to work with him.
Thanks,
Beth Koenig
