To answer your other questions, ... well, this is not a perfect world.
People and schools don't always do what is right or even what is
required for blind kids under thelaw.  That's what advocacy is for,
that's what the NFB is for.

By advocating for this child, hopefully things will be also made
better for the next children coming up.  Unfortunately, without
spreading the word and diligence in advocacy, too often those kids
whose parents don't advocate or don't even know what to advocate for
end up getting short-changed.

Be didligent. Spread the word.
