[Trainer-talk] Accessing lab experiments

Hello:

When I worked for the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan
Institute in the IBTC, I set up a Lab Quest system. The unit does work and
is essential for independent lab work by the blind. The Lab Quest is a small
box that processes data from probes which are attached to it. The Lab Quest
can also be connected to a PC using special software. The system worked well
and if I were taking a science class, I would jump at the chance to buy a
Lab Quest at the current low price. Note that about 70 optional probes are
available.

Regards,

Robert

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Accessing lab experiments

Hello Trainers,

Anyone heard of a product called the Talking Lab Quest by Independence
Science? I was given a flier by a colleague who attended the ISTE
Conference. It says that the device improves access to science lab
experiments. I'm interested in buying one (and it is on sale) if someone out
there has one and can give me more info. Here is the link I found:
http://specialoffer.independencescience.com/

Has anyone used this in their classroom?

Thanks,
Alan
