Yaho Groups works well if your going to just email the group from using
Outlook.

I can use all the functionality that Outlook offers and it comes through in
every other mail client fine.

Yahoo does not work with Outlook and that works so much nicer then a web
based email.  I set up a yahoo group before and had no problems but thought
since gmail seems to be the way to go that I would try the groups.  Still
don't have the group set up yet.  waiting on eyeballs over a month now
*groan*

yahoo mail and its groups are great choices. I use these with ease using
NVDA and Voiceover screen readers.
