[Trainer-talk] Bookshare?

Hi,

I have a program called QRead that I use to read books in DAISY format from
Bookshare. This is great when using a Braille display because you can keep
pressing the forward key on the display to continually read, unlike in Word
where it does that goofy stuff when it reaches the bottom of the page or
whatever it is. If I download the BRF file, then I generally Braille it out
on my embosser for reading. Otherwise, I'd probably try opening it in
Internet Explorer, again so I could continually read. Anita

Subject: [Trainer-talk] Bookshare?

Hi there,

Question regarding Bookshare. I need to help someone access and download
books on Bookshare, but he is very hard of hearing and will probably be best
off using a computer with his Braille Display and JAWS as a very secondary
thing. I use Bookshare but with my Streamer, so I just download the Daisy
books.

I know that for this person, we'll have to download the BRF version of the
book, but then when unzipping it, what's the best way for him to be able to
read it and/or listen along to it? Does this question make sense?

Thanks.
