I would say the quest from Id Mate works very well. You don't have to be
computer savvy to use it.
The i-phone apps out there work but, in my opinion, finding the bar code is
a bit challenging for some of my clients.

Subject: [Trainer-talk] bar code reader

Hello,

Has anyone worked with a bar code reader? Any recommendations for one over
another?

I have 2 clients who are both blind but they do not have computers and do
not want them. one has an ITouch and wanted an app from Apple; the other
has no adaptive equipment whatsoever and is only requesting the bar code
reader to help her at the food store.

Thanks in advance.

Bridget
