I also did it in all caps and no go.
Word is simple to input dates as alt shift d will input dates but I just
wanted to try that LOG route that you mentioned.

I'm not sure why it did not work. I put it in caps and it went through.
What if you started a document in Microsoft word and kept each entry in the
same document. The only thing is you would have to invert the date each time
but you could keep a running log.
I've had this problem in the past and I am still looking for a journal
software that would work.
