The problem with no sound on Youtube is the result of changes that Youtube
made to the user interface two days ago. For some dopey reason only the
folks at Youtube could probably explain, the audio volume is now muted by
default, and it is necessary to unmute it and increase it to a comfortable
listening level. This can be accomplished with JAWS by following these
steps:
1. Load the Youtube page containing the video you want to play.
2. Turn off the virtual cursor with the keystroke JAWS key-Z.
3. Starting at the top of the page, tab repeatedly until you reach the
unmute button. This may take a lot of tabbing until you finally land on it.
4. Once you are on the unmute button, press the up arrow key repeatedly to
increase the volume to your desired level.
5. Finally, turn on the virtual cursor again with JAWS key-Z. HTH.
