[Trainer-talk] Help needed turning Jaws speech off while using Nook Online books provided by university

I am also wondering if more than one actual executable program is
occasionally being loaded while using the Nook app. I honestly doubt
that this is the case but it's something I'd investigate if I were in
that situation. In other words, the sleep mode at first seems to work
but then it occasionally stops working and JAWS resumes speech while
using Nook; is that what's going on? It could be that, during certain
functions or processes, an additional application is opening which
doesn't have the sleep mode setting enabled. When JAWS starts speaking
again while using Nook, try the settings center again and disable sleep
mode. I'm not able to verify this as I don't have a Nook account. In
fact, I didn't even know that the Nook program for windows was actually
usable.
