[Trainer-talk] Typing Tutor Applications

The advent of the free-for-many window-Eyes has nothing to do with the
matter at hand. We already had a good free screen reader anyway, but more
to the point, Window-Eyes, or NVDA for that matter, do not offer a typing
tutor designed to teach keyboarding to those who do not know it. Hence the
conversation here.

Well, with the advent of the free offer of window eyes from AI squared, I
personally do not see a need for these applications. RJ

I, too have had problems with Marvelsoft customer service. The other thing
that concerns me is that they haven't updated the program in several years.
Who knows if it will even work with the next Windows version. Is anyone
using it with Windows 8.1?

I would say though, the "issue" with Talking Typing Teacher, is the
"customer service" but perhaps that's just been the experiences of folks
here.

Interesting. I had not heard of this program before now. Perhaps it wasn't
around when I was learning to type in 2004 or the Quota funds prevented the
school from wanting to buy anything else. I may investigate this software to
hone my own typing skills or to teach some of the younger kids in my
area.-CN

I really love the Talking Typing Teacher from Marvelsoft. It is much more
interactive than the APH talking typer and provides much better feedback
about how you are doing. It is available here:
