[Trainer-talk] Interesting thing happening with Outlook and Gmail

Hi,

I noticed an issue when attempting to set up gmail in outlook a few days
ago. I was getting prompts to enter the password. The client I was helping
soon after received an email from Google, advising them that a log in from
an unsecured application had been attempted. The email went on to say that
in order to allow gmail to be used with unsecured applications, the user
has to allow this by going to their Google security settings.

This may be the root of your problems. It seems that Google has decided to
treat outlook differently than in the past, or, not everyone using gmail
with outlook has this security setting set to off.

Hope this helps.
