Hi Sarah,

Sometimes others make changes to Windows accessibility settings that can
make things very difficult for screen readers so I will cover the basics in
case that happened to you.

The email or document window doesn't always maximize by default.
Make sure your theme under personalization is set to Windows 7 basic.
Always verify the window is maximized when starting a new email, and make
sure that under display the font size is only set to 100%. Cursor width
under ease of access must also be at 1 for Jaws to track properly.

With JAWS there are a couple tricks that sometimes make difficult text
appear, try insert-escape, which refreshes the screen. Also, sometimes
jumping down to bottom of document, then back up helps, so do control-end
and then control-home.

If not, contact freedom scientific, they do have ok tech support, you can
call or e-mail support at freedomscientific.com

Good evening. I am using the latest version of Jaws on a windows 7
coomputer and a focus 40 blue. When I create a word document, I am often not
able to read what I write after I type. This sometimes also happens when
composing an email. I write novels, and it would be great to read what I
write. I sometimes just see a blank Braille display. I am also not able to
use dot eight to write a not line. I have to press enter on the computer
keyboard. Is there a Jaws tetting I need to change? Thank you.
    Sarah
