ZoomText Fusion is supposed to have a Window Eyes backbone (meaning,
out of the box it should have full screen reader capabilities- as that
is the appeal of Fusion marketing, as opposed to regular ZoomText
Magnifier/Reader). I have not used it in a vocational setting, so I
cannot attest that it works as well in the field. Is there a reason
you want a different screen reader for this client?
To answer your question, you should not mix ZoomText with JAWS
because it locks the system up (the programs are not compatible with
one another and "fight" with one another), so please don't try that,
especially not in a vocational setting. If ZoomText Fusion is not
suiting your client's needs, a combination of JAWS and Magic may work,
or a combination of ZoomText and Window Eyes.

Hello Nancy, it's been several years but when I was teaching at the
rehab center in Austin we never combined John's resume text. They did
not play well together. Perhaps, someone else has more recent
experiences. I don't think it's changed no. The recommended
screenreader with Zoom text is window eyes.
Dictated on an iPhone.

would like to add JAWS for screen reading. Has anyone tried that? I
know we would be turning the Fusion features off before starting JAWS
but would like some feedback before we do it. This is a work
situation and I don't feel like we can afford to try anything that
won't work.

Office products, mostly word and Outlook. She also uses a program
called TransNet for accessing the dictation she is typing. It feels
like there is a lot of software running on that computer.
