Have her use the edge of a table to make sure she has her phone oriented in a portrait (vertical) position. Also, flicking (quicker and shorter movements with her finger) may help.

Subject: [Trainer-Talk] ipfone difficulty

Hello,
I have been working with my student on her apex for a couple weeks and she seems to be getting it down. However, she mentioned to me that she has an iphone but her gestures are not being recognized. She can tap and double tap, but she is having difficulty swiping. She indicated that she is having difficulty swiping straight across the screen and has a tendency to swipe diagonally. I am relatively new to Ios myself and am not sure how to help her with this. Therefore, has anyone experienced a similar situation with their student? If so, are there any techniques I could try that might help her get the swiping motion down? We are working via phone, so I am not there to feel her hand, I'm just going by what she told me she is having difficulty with. Any suggestions on techniques I could try?
Thank you,
Kelsey Nicolay
