[Trainer-Talk] Zoomtext Fusion and Jaws running together

Nancy,
At the rehab center I work at in Austin, TX, though we inform students
that JAWS and Zoomtext don't play nice together, some people still
choose that route. One thing I learned from one of the Zoomtext
teachers is that Windows has some contrast and dark mode options in
it's accessibility options. That may meet the needs of your student.
If they absolutely want to use ZT with JAWS, then you can do that.
What we have also done in this case is to turn off the ZT speech
(can't recall the keystroke but know it is in the menu bar of the ZT
window), and have them use JAWS speech and ZT for magnification. There
are also contrast options within ZT that might meet their needs too,
and of course there are lots of color configurations someone can do.
Finally, I heard on a recent FS Cast that VFO will be working
internally to make JAWS 18 and Zoomtext 11 work much better with each
other. This may not help now, but it will be nice to have them
compatible and work nicer together later this fall.
