I think it also helps if they can listen to the JAWS Daisy training on a device with which they are familiar. For example, if they own a VR Stream, copy the Daisy training materials there and show the student how to access them.

If new students try to access the training on the same computer they are just learning to use it can be a frustrating experience. 

This doesn't always work of course, but it's an idea that has helped my students who know say the iPAD well but not JAWS.

Thanks for that very practical sounding solution. She is just planning on the specific equipment request, so no I haven't. I have JAWS on my own computer, so I'll check it out now.
