Hi all,
A few months back I asked for OCR software recommendations and got some great responses. Now I'm looking to replace our aging flatbed scanners with something else and wanted to reach out for more suggestions.

What are other trainers/centers using for hardware when teaching OCR?

Personally, I like something like a Perl or Bookscanner which sits on a stand above the document for easy page turning so I can take advantage of the automatic/batch mode options in some OCR software.

I believe the Perl is about $800 and I have found some commercial book scanners for $400 or so which include their own OCR software. Are there better solutions out there?

Thanks,
Greg
