[Trainer-Talk] reboot IPhone

Hello,
I agree With David that this was not respectful.
I would help if I could but don't have that fancy phone.

My suggestion is to go to an apple store or call the disability service
support line. I think apple still has that.
If you don't use the phone part though Bridget, why did you just get an ipod
touch instead?
I think those ipod touches are not as expensive as the I Phone.
Just food for thought there.

Ashley

Bob,

First, beginning your response with "with all due respect" doesn't change
the fact that what you said was very disrespectful, hurtful and unhelpful.
Bridget did not deserve to have her power button disabled, whether or not
she made backups or not. I think there are aspects to this situation which
we may not know about. I certainly wasn't always engaging in doing
everything that I could do in my long history of using technology and some
of this had to do with lack of knowledge. Would you please use your own
knowledge to just help her, rather than judging her by telling her that she
deserves a broken iPhone, which I am sure she does not. I'm sorry but
responses like yours make me so angry and I just can't be silent.

Hello:

With all due respect, you get just what you deserve.
Icloud is free up to 5gb. There is no excuse not to have a backup.
The power button and home button are required to do a reboot.
Unless you can get these repaired by an Apple store, you are out of
luck. In essence, you could probably purchase another phone for less
money. However, because you did not do a backup, your data is gone.
  Have a great day.

Hi, I have an IPhone 5C. the power button is broken. I was getting a new
app and listening to the tutorial and my battery died completely. I cannot
get it to charge again. I tried 3 different outlets and 2 different cords
and my laptop to charge it. so I thought I would try to reboot it but my
power button doesn't work.
I had found a way to turn the phone off through accessories but with the
phone dead I cant use that.
I never backed up my phone, of course. And I have info on there and only
there. some the only contact I have with some people and no clue what their
info is in my head.
Do I have any reasonable hope of getting my info back or rebooting it?
Also, I do not have a data plan. I never used it as a phone. I just used
it for apps and text.
Thank you for your time.
Bridget, PA
