[Trainer-Talk] Recommending hardware

If a blind, or keyboard-dependent user will be using the computer, I want to
make sure that the function keys and escape key can be made automatically
usable if they are not usable out of the box. I do not know models that
meet this requirement, but it is by no means a given these days.

For laptops, I've had really good success with:
Inspiron 17" 7000 2-in-1
-16GB RAM
- 512 SSD
- i7
And for 15" laptops I often use the 5000 line with similar specs.
For smaller laptops. I've used the xps 13 and the Lenovo yoga 920.
I never recommend anything without SSD.
HTH.

Hi all,
I often get asked by clients what kind of computer they should get when they
are done with training. I typically give some good rules to go by but avoid
making specific recommendations.

I have a counselor asking for a specific recommendation for a laptop and I
wanted to ask how others handle this. Do you have specific go-tos that you
recommend for particular situations?

Thanks for your thoughts.
