[Trainer-Talk] Canvas LMS?

Good morning Amy and happy Monday.

I have and am still working with two clients who use Canvas as their main
interface. Canvas itself is accessible including course global dashboard,
course navigation, modal navigation, and message interface. Some time ago
we encountered issues uploading/submitting files via the shell, but that has
worked OK the last year or so. The issue with accessibility is the content
that is uploaded by instructors, such as PDF files, presentations. Canvas
does not control or impose any level of accessibility compliance on the
content authors and instead depend on the school/author to produce
accessible content.

The two clients I have work with Canvas have use JAWS 2020 and ZoomText 2019
and both Windows 10.

However, as far as Canvas goes it is accessible and I found it to work very
well.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like additional
information.

Subject: [Trainer-Talk] Canvas LMS?

Good morning,
I was contacted by a colleague asking whether the LMS Canvas could be used
with a screen reader? I did find an accessibility statement in their
blog<https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Accessibility/Accessibility-within-C
anvas/ba-p/261501>, but we all know that practical experience is worth more
than a thousand words...or blog posts...

Does anyone have first-hand experience or resources using Canvas with a
screen reader for Windows?

Thanks so much,
Amy
