Hi. The voice assistant in JAWS is not the same as J-Say. The voice assistant is for performing JAWS commands. J-Say does this but it also goes beyond controlling JAWS and allowing you to fully control your computer hands free for functions such as opening applications, voice dictation, etc.

FYI: J-Say may not be required, in the latest version of JAWS 2021, there is now a feature to "speak" to JAWS, and the information is in the JAWS "new features" information. I used to try to teach J-Say to one individual over
10+ years ago, but haven't in quite some time. It is a long time coming 
10+ for
JAWS to include something similar to "Alexa" to navigate with the screen.

Hi all,
I hope this message finds everyone doing well. I am needing to reference J-Say documentation in working with a student, and the only way I have found that I can possibly receive the documentation is if I buy the product. I do not want to do that, nor do I need to do that. Am I missing something? If anyone would be able to help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I do not have a working copy of things in front of me, and so having access to the documentation would be extremely beneficial for me in being able to best help my student.
