Hello Chris,
Great question.

Accessibility really varies. Zoom is likely the most accessible. I use it
with screen readers all the time.
You mentioned the major ones.
I've had experience with Skype, zoom, and TeamViewer; its accessible.

I also am wondering how accessible Blue Jeans is. Is this free for a period
of time?
Please tell us when you use it your reaction.

The other meeting software apps below are used some; my dad has attended
some sales trainings with them. Unfortunately, I've heard bad things about
accessibility.
You can phone into the meeting if its not accessible with your assistive
technology although they cannot see your screen then.

Here they are.

• WebEx
• GoToMeeting
• Join Me
• Adobe Connect
• Group Me
• Team Viewer

Of these I listed, I think that WebEx is more common. Our county government
uses WebEx. Some library events are also now on WebEx. It seems now a days I
hear WebEx for meetings and webinars as much as zoom. I like zoom better.

Fortunately, All blindness related events for consumer groups or product
meetings for blind users use zoom. I just attended some Humanware webinars
and some American Printing house for the Blind webinars on zoom. I think
they do this because they know zoom is more accessible to us consumers and
professionals who are blind.

HTH,
Ashley

Subject: [Trainer-Talk] Blue Jeans and other meeting platforms

Hello all.

I just found out that I will be attending meeting using the Blue Jeans
Platform (http://www.bluejeans.com). Is anyone familiar with the
accessibility of this app or the history of the development of this app.

Also-as a professional, I attend meetings on several different platforms. So
far, I've had to become familiar with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Skype
for Business, Google Meets / Hangouts, and Blue Jeans-aside from some other
meetings on Facebook Messenger. Are there any other platforms I should
become familiar with in terms of use with a screen reader?

Very Best,

Chris
