[Trainer-Talk] audio editting software

Hello,

I was trying to remember the other audio editor that I've heard many people 
use including screen reader users.
Its GoldWave!

I'm certainly considering it and saw it works on older computers 
fortunately.

Do you know if GoldWave has a free trial period or free scaled down version? 
How much will it cost to go for the full version?
Does GoldWave allow you to convert from file type to file type such as mp4A 
to mp3 or Wav to mp3?

I looked at audicity and so far it seems harder to use.
I'm hoping GoldWave will be easy, something where I can simply mark the 
beginning and end of files to delete out that block of recording.

Have you ever tried or looked into GoldWave? Its easier to use than 
audacity, IMHO.
