I don't think you can. I think the books are just downloaded locally. If you go into the "Get Books" tab though, there is an option called "Previous downloads." That might help them get the books they want that they had on the previous device without having to search for them all. They have a new iPhone but they cannot access their list of books currently on their bookshelf. So they’re using their old iPhone to do this.
