[Trainer-Talk] Braille Display with Google Doc

Good afternoon,
I'm kind of stuck and I'm hoping someone has an answer for me.

A TVI contacted me about an issue she is having with Google Docs, NVDA, and her Focus 40 Braille Display.  I was doing a Zoom call with her using the same tools (all software is running the latest version for both of us).  While I can type contracted braille and it shows up correctly in Google Docs, the student types contracted braille and it shows up as just C for can and other such issues.  There has to be some setting in either NVDA or Google Docs that I'm missing.

We both have Contracted UEB set up in the NVDA settings area and braille and screen reader support are enabled in Docs. What am I missing?
