[Trainer-Talk] A Response From Apple Accessibility Regarding Lost Siri Functionality FW: Please Bring Back Lost Siri Functionality; Follow-up: 782296253

I received the same canned reply last week. I've not tried the latest
beta yet with this, but it sounds like it may be awhile for some of
this functionality to come back. As I told a client this morning who
wanted a new phone but didn't care much for Apple's offerings, it's a
good time to take a gander at Android if you are a speech only user.
Google Assistant blows Siri out of the water anyway as far as I can
tell. Have hearing aids or use a braille display a lot? Then it's
probably not worth your while. Even the Bluetooth agnostic hearing
aids when paired with Android don't appear to function very well and
it gets worse when you start having to pair a 3rd device to act as a
work around. Maybe Android 12 is better with some of this, but 11 kind
of stunk on ice in my experience where braille and hearing aids are
concerned.
