[Trainer-Talk] Chromebook's and screen readers

ACVREP and Google collaborated to offer a REALLY nice class on Chromebooks.  The first part of the class really breaks this question down with the specs and such, but basically my understanding is that recommendations are really going to vary on the specific type of Chromebook.  I always recommend a "middle of the road" model...not too inexpensive, not the high end model either.  The price range you give is probably middle of the road model.  The class is super useful too so I highly recommend it.  Here's the article with the course info.

The only way a Blind person can use a Chromebook is with Chromevox.  Jonathan Mosen has done several podcasts in which he demonstrates Chromevox.  The name of the podcast is Mosen At Large.  I recommend  your client  listen to the  podcasts for further information.
NVDA and JAWS only work on Windows machines.
