Subject: [Trainer-Talk] Using Dictation and a Screen Reader

Good morning,

It's been quite a while since I've worked with a student who is exploring
use of dictation software on a PC but also needs to use a screen reader.
This particular individual has not been able to master touch typing (we are
not really sure why) but can perform some basic navigation with the screen
reader. The student is using JAWS.

As a side note, the student is very competent using an iPhone and performing
the necessary gestures. Also, speech is very intelligible with no sign of
any sort of speech impediment.

Has anyone had experience with an individual with these needs? I'd love to
hear the tools you are using to make this possible.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide!
Amy
