While I have been on the "all these Outlooks are insane" wagon for many
years now, you are very much mistaken on this one.

Microsoft 365 is so much more than just the Office suite programs, and as
it evolved into the full-blown ecosystem that it is, rebranding it was the
only logical thing to do.  Microsoft 365 - It's an ecosystem, not just a
program . . .

I assiduously avoid the use of the old name, Office 365, because even then
it was a misnomer, and included much more than just what we think of as the
office suite programs.
