[Trainer-Talk] A Google Drive Bug With Chromium-based Browsers

Chris & Denise,
I fear my last message to Denise regarding use of Firefox may have come off
as far more forceful and brusque than I intended. I have been dealing with
suggestions about "this issue" in multiple venues and think I even
incorrectly stated that Denise had made this suggestion previously here,
and I apologize for that, too.
It's not that using Firefox is not an option and, in my opinion, a good one
as a workaround. In fact, I insist that all of my students have Firefox on
their machines and know how to use it "in a pinch," no matter what the
pinch may be, because it very often happens that something that's cranky
under any Chromium-based browser will work in Firefox and vice versa.
Firefox is the only remaining major player in the web browser arena that
does not use Chromium as its code base, and that makes it invaluable.
What I was intending to drive home forcefully is if someone's made a
suggestion, any suggestion, and someone else has dismissed it then for all
practical intents and purposes, the discussion is over. All any one of us
can do is make suggestions and it's up to the recipients of said
suggestions whether they are acceptable to them or not.
Brian
