[Trainer-Talk] The Accessibility of Canvas with JAWS?

Jim asked this on the JAWS for Windows Support Group on Groups.io, too, but
I'll post here what I posted there:

I only worked with Canvas briefly, and with 2 clients, and it did seem to
be a mixed bag as far as accessibility goes. But, there's a lot written
about making Canvas accessible and there are things those setting up
courses can do.

Take a look at these search results:
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=using+Canvas+course+managment+with+a+screen+reader

The ones from https://community.canvaslms.com appear to get into
significant detail, some for the user, some for the person setting up the
course. And you may need to be the educator to the educator about how to
set things up in Canvas in a manner that makes them most accessible. Many
will never have had a blind student and probably many more will never have
tried to do anything special in Canvas to accommodate one.
