[Trainer-Talk] Teaching adults who don't speak English

Thank you, Mario, for taking the time to reply. I am curious if other trainers are facing this issue because with the world being so tech-based, the schools are using Google Classroom, D2l, and email for all of their communication. If you don't know conversational English, I am curious as to how you even work with someone to access all of this information. I do have interpreters that I work with when I train and have tried translating the materials to their primary languages but I am struggling with how to get the tech knowledge to them so that they can even take the English courses. Do you teach Braille in their primary language if they can read in their language? Do you teach English grade 1 Braille when they are also taking English learning classes? Do you focus on tech because you secretly wonder how they are going to master English and Braille and Tech? What if you don't have a lot of time to work with them and progress is slow because they have a ton of barriers? Curious to hear others experiences! Thank you for your support!
