Hello,
My recommendation would be the Yoga 9I or the Carbons from the page I will
link below, as it is a decent build of a machine with a variety of configs.
The RAM amount was specific, but latest gen processor isn't as there are
many processor variants. Also, a 13-inch screen limits the amount of power
from the laptop because of thermal issues, so the fact that you're asking
for such a small machine with lots of RAM is a bit surprising to me, and
would make me curious about the task the student is performing. The
smallest screen size on this page, and for most modern laptops these days,
is 14", but given the reduction in bezels, it is essentially the same form
factor as a 13" machine.
BestBuy has good filters. You may be able to find better deals elsewhere,
but it's a start based on your requirements. I've filtered out for Lenovo
machines based on your requirements, and there are a range to choose from
with a variety of processor types, but as I said, I'd recommend the carbon
or the Yoga 9I on this list, as the others tend to be more geared at
business.
