Here's a great opportunity for those in the New York City area. The location
isn't exactly clear in the email, but their website indicates that the camp
is in Brooklyn, NY.

This is not an AIS-affiliated program. I am just passing the information
along. If you have questions or are interested, reach out to Irina Kocherova
at ikocherova at jcc-brooklyn.org <mailto:ikocherova at jcc-brooklyn.org> .

My name is Irina. I am part of the JCC Brooklyn team running an amazing Camp
for Children who are Blind or Have Low Vision.

Our Camp is fairly new to the range of organizations working with children
with visual impairment. This upcoming summer will be our fourth season, so
we are still considered to be a "pilot program. Despite our Camp's young
age, we are very experienced in the Summer camp business for neurotypical
children and children with disabilities other than VI.

Our team is in full swing, preparing for the Camp's season, and we hope to
create a program for our older, more advanced campers that includes AT
classes.

We are looking for someone who can either train a provider we are already
working with or host, preferably in-person, classes on screen readers,
Braille displays, Optical Character Recognition, and related tools. We see
this as a wonderful combination of learning, independence building, and fun
for the campers.

Do you have anyone you could recommend?

Our Camp for children who are Blind or have Low Vision will run for four
weeks this summer: June 29 - July 10, and then August 10 - August 21.
