Here’s the EMail I sent in several weeks ago, to Code Factory with no reply; I find it sad how some people just don’t take these kinds of proposals seriously; it’s for the benefit of the blind here inLatinamerica as you’llsee below. Here’s the Email in question, hoping you guys could help out in informing me whom else to write or send this proposal:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Dear NVDA Code Factory team<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Hoping this finds you well, Gerardo Corripio writing to you from Mexico; I'm one of the main editors of the "ActualidadAcccesible" website found at (http://actualidadaccesible.com) with an average of 5000-7000 monthly views;<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>We also have a Youtube channel, with over 340 subscribers and continuing to grow, found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWXOrKuCVuoMSy8mLiznAJA as well as on Apple Podcasts, Google and other platforms.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Our publications and podcasts cover all aspects of blindness (computers, SmartPhones,) whose goal is to make our daily lives more efficient, from school, work, and leisure).<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I'm really enjoying the 7-day evaluation period offered of your Eloquence and Vocalizer voices combo! for use with the NVDA screen reader (as a matter of fact using Eloquence for writing/editing, and your Vocalizer Nathan US English voice as I proofread this EMail). I'd like to take this opportunity congratulating you the Code Factory staff, on the work you're doing with your product! Your voices have made my working on the computer very efficient, more able to control NVDA and perform day to day tasks with Eloquence's ease of understanding and flexibility; you see, I've a 70% hearing loss aside from blindness, for which I use hearing aids to try and compensate. Wwhen it comes to proofreading in general with the Vocalizer voices, (publications for the "ActualidadAccesible" site, long texts, EMails, websites, or books on the computer with Vocalizer, I feel as if a human were interacting with me, instead of just any ordinary synthetic voice! The variety of voices to choose from (Nathan, Juan, Angelica, makes yours truly feel as if you had a always-willing circle of friends to read to you! The manner in which your voices reads, gives the impression of the willingness to help, independent of how boring or entertaining the material being read (or worked on) can be. Thus I'm always looking for software that could benefit the blind here in Latinamerica to feature as podcasts or publications on the "ActualidadAccesible" site, and your Eloquence and vocalizer voices combo for NVDA are the perfect candidate for the proposal that follows below:<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>The work being done colaborating with the "ActualidadAccesible" site and podcasts, is free, thus no income is received for these collaborations; all this is done for the joy and satisfaction of making the blind here in Latin America aware of what's available, to help in bettering their lives be educational, professional or leisure; thus your Combo Eloquence and Vocalizer voices would really make a difference in so many lives, for those who resist using NVDA because of the voices, as I'll talk about below.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I'd like to propose the following: In exchange for showcasing your Akapela voices on the articles and podcasts at "ActualidadAccesible" in conjunction with using NVDA in a more efficient manner, extending the 7-day trial license already in use, to a full license, could be donated to the "ActualidadAccesible" project, in spreading the word on your voices to use in conjuntion with the NVDA screen reader in tasks like reading, EMails, Internet browsing and others. Think of it twofold: The benefits of via example, spread the word on how using NVDA more efficiently in a day to day capacity, throughout the podcasts and publicationson the site featuring these tasks with your voices; as a result, you could have a bit more of revenues via more blind people here in Latin America purchasing from you the voices, thus too be able to use NVDA in a more efficient manner.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>As mentioned briefly above, there's lots of resistance to embodying the NVDA screen reader, especially because of the voices it has by default, thus with showcasing NVDA with your voices on my podcasts, I'm sure more people will notice the benefits of changing screen readers, and using the Code Factory voices in the process; like with yours truly, making the use of the computer more pleasant and efficient by having both of two worlds: those who embrace Eloquence won't miss it at all, and those who want to try more-human-sounding voices will like the sound of the Vocalizer voices.
