Hello!
The cruise was awesome. We were on a Holland American Liner during June.
They were great. The guys in the dining room would take me over and help
me with my tray. They laughed and called themselves my yellow or redd cab,
just depended on the color of their caps. We got a big chuckle out of it.
Even the people in housekeeping were fun and helpful. I felt like I was
visiting the U N because there were so many people from other countries. I
actually think they were more helpful than Americans.
We were able to go out on the rear deck and watch for critters. People
spotted all kinds of wildlife. Dolphins were spotted occasionally. There
were all kinds of birds on the Glacier Walls. I think my mother spotted a
bear up in the woods. We even spotted a whale. The whole thing was
awesome!
The most challenging thing was trying to walk with my cane on the train. I
finally got the rhythm right and did manage it. The train was a 2 story
glass top train. We saw all kinds of wildlife on that 8 hour ride. Yep,
loved it all. The weather was perfect. We could be outside with a long
sleeve on. Awesome! Awesome! That's God's country up
