I might do this for one special day on the cruise however, not worth the
money for an entire vacation.

Starting this month, Celebrity Cruises passengers can buy unlimited beer and
liquor packages, a departure from the typical cruise line a la carte bar
policies.

Celebrity first told its Captain's Club members last May that by the end of
this year such packages would become available.

Most major cruise lines offer some unlimited soda options, as well as wine
packages. But outside of the all-inclusive luxury realm, cruise lines have
generally stayed away from offering all-you-can-drink options except for
some groups and special functions.

According to information posted on the line's website, Celebrity Millennium
passengers were the first to be able to use the packages, starting today.
They will be available on the balance of the fleet between now and Dec. 6.

The unlimited Beer Package starts at $34.50 per night, and gives passengers
unlimited consumption of domestic and imported beers. The Classic Liquor
Package, at $51.50 per night, includes middle-shelf liquors such as Johnnie
Walker Red and Absolut Vodka, while a Premium Liquor Package, at $76 per
night, includes top-shelf spirits like Johnnie Walker Black Label and Grey
Goose vodka. A frozen drink package, including piña coladas, daiquiris, and
margaritas, starts from $22.00 per night.
Tell us Cruise Loggers, would you buy these unlimited drink packages?
