Other than starting your own travel Agency or being an independent of a host
agency, which I am, there's not much going on in the travel agency.
Fortunately, the travel agent is making a come back. The internet is great
for simple reservations however, it cannot hold a candle to what a travel
agent can do when it comes to putting together, complex travel plans for
groups and individuals. Also more and more people miss that face to face or
voice interaction that they can only get when talking directly with a agent.
We can match the online rates. They can't match our service and good
customer service skills and for the most part, they don't even try. There
only goal is to get you a reservation. Who cares about the details!
