[Travelandtourism] Southwest Airlines and Customers of Size

Hello Maurice and everyone,
Southwest is the only airline with non-stop service between San Antonio
to Dallas Love Field, the closest airport to the Hilton Anitole, and only
has one class of service. If you purchess their anytime or business class
tickets you can buy the second seat at the child's fare. No matter what
ticket you purchess if you're unable to sit with both arms down you'll need
to buy a second seat.
It's one thing if a passenger purchesses extra seats of their own choice
but quite another to have an airline demand that they do so. If Mary and I
are taking a long flight we may decide to purchess an additional seat to
give us an entire row and to give Johnny extra room. As long as this is our
decision no problem.

Hi Peter:
What does Southwest have to say regarding this policy if the customer books
an upgraded first or business class ticket? Granted the customer has to pay
more for the upgrade however, the trade off is they get more seating room in
the front of the plane.
Looked into chartering for the Georgia State afiliate and the price is way
out of their budget for this year. Maybe if they start with fund raiser
efforts after the convention, might be able to do it for next year.
