Hello,

This is my first attempt at posting to this list but I thought I’d give it a shot. I tried to look through the archives so as to not ask a question that has already been addressed but couldn’t find what I need.

My Fiancé and I are both blind (both have some residual vision) and will be married next fall. We would love to go to an all-inclusive resort for our honeymoon but have fears in regards to navigating foreign airports (both seasoned in US travel) as well as navigating the resort upon arrival. We have considered the US Virgin islands thinking that we would not have to go through customs but we are unsure if this is true. We have ruled out Hawaii because of the long travel time from Wisconsin. We would really appreciate any suggestions or resources that could help us in deciding where we should honeymoon. Should we stay in the states and if so, are there any reasonable all-inclusive resorts in the US? Has anyone else traveled independently to a Caribbean or Mexican resort and found there to be little instances of being taken advantage of or scammed (after traveling to Mexico with family, even sighted people get pulled in many directions to choose a
particular cab driver or excursion company)?

Thank you for your help in advance. Feel free to email me directly at leslie_penko at yahoo.com

Warmly,

Leslie
