remember also, this is your honeymoon, put a list together of where you would like to go, remember sighted or not sighted this is a magical time in your lives. After that you may not have the time or money to get away.
So think of where you want to go. Okay, Hawaii to far away.
There are also many cruise options that Robert states, Royal Caribbean is not offering braille any longer, but that doesn't mean they are not a great cruise lines, also you have Norwegian Cruise Lines, over the last 2-3 years they have really stepped up to the plate, Princess Cruise Lines, etc.
What about a nice honeymoon at walt disney world in there Hawaiian Resort right on property, Polynesian Resort, you can add food, etc to it, and not have to pay a dime more unless for souvenirs, and maybe a show in down town disney.
Many other ideas, Mexico is still wonderful, don't listen to all the news media it is only certain areas of Mexico where they are having issues, like where the problems are happening are like driving from NY to California, long way away from Cancun, or other cities as well.

Hello:
My wife and I have been on two cruises. Both from Royal Caribbean. Both times, the crew was always very helpful. The ships had braille labels on almost all the doors so getting around was fairly easy. Cruises have a variety of daily activities. Tours at the ports can be arranged. The tour desk on the ship used reliable tour operators. The price isn't bad especially when you consider that it includes room and board. Happy traveling.

Robert

Subject: [Travelandtourism] blind honeymoon suggestions
Hello,
This is my first attempt at posting to this list but I thought I'd give it a shot. I tried to look through the archives so as to not ask a question that has already been addressed but couldn't find what I need.
My Fiancé and I are both blind (both have some residual vision) and will be married next fall. We would love to go to an all-inclusive resort for our honeymoon but have fears in regards to navigating foreign airports (both seasoned in US travel) as well as navigating the resort upon arrival. We have considered the US Virgin islands thinking that we would not have to go through customs but we are unsure if this is true. We have ruled out Hawaii because of the long travel time from Wisconsin. We would really appreciate any suggestions or resources that could help us in deciding where we should honeymoon. Should we stay in the states and if so, are there any reasonable all-inclusive resorts in the US? Has anyone else traveled independently to a Caribbean or Mexican resort and found there to be little instances of being taken advantage of or scammed (after traveling to Mexico with family, even sighted people get pulled in many directions to choose a
particular cab driver or excursion company)?
Thank you for your help in advance. Feel free to email me directly at leslie_penko at yahoo.com<mailto:leslie_penko at yahoo.com<mailto:leslie_penko at yahoo.com%3Cmailto:leslie_penko at yahoo.com>>
Warmly,
