DOT's Proposed Website Accessibility Rule

The U.S. Department of Transportation's (DOT) recently released a notice of
Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) that would require large travel agencies to
upgrade their websites and mobile applications to be accessible to disabled
air travelers. A travel agency that is classified as a "large travel agency"
will likely see a significant economic impact on its business as a result of
this rule. Agencies earning less than $3.5 million per year in revenue (not
sales) will not have to amend their websites, but those that offer web-based
fares or other amenities will be required to provide them to disabled
passengers in an offline environment in certain circumstances. Through this
webinar, ASTA is soliciting vital agency feedback to share with the DOT.

To all:

Since Cheryl Echevarria is part of ASTA, I will be attending this webinar,
to all us members, and I will represent the BLIND on this issue and others
to come.
