Good day all!
Whether you made the travel arrangements on your own or with a travel professional, travel insurance is highly recommended.
Today, one of my client called, and said she would not be going on a cruise she was taking with her friend on August 24, 2012, due to complications from surgery in June 2012.
Well, thank god she had it, since she was at 100 percent non-refundable with the cruise lines, the only thing she would have gotten back was the taxes and fees.
Because she spent the $89 dollars for the travel insurance, we are now filing a claim with the travel insurance company to get all the money they the client spent, less the $89 dollars for the travel insurance. So long that her doctor fills out all the paperwork.
Unfortunately, she didn't purchase the travel insurance with her airline ticket, that she bought on her own, she is out $600+ on her ticket.
Again, be a wise traveler, if it says travel insurance offered, or offered through a travel professional, please get it.
Sincerely,
