[Travelandtourism] volunteer vacations?

Is there an organization that has opportunities in the U.S. that we
could go through? I was thinking more about it and leaving the country
with my son will be complicated because of legal concerns. I need to
read up more on that and ask a lawyer friend before I start seriously
consider traveling abroad.

This is all very new to me. If you have names of reputable
organizations I could check into, I would be very appreciative. I'm
very comfortable with researching and planning. I'm just at a loss of
where to start.

Thanks!
Julie
