Travel Weekly posting.By Gay Nagle MyersAirlines serving Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach canceled more than 590 arrivals and departures on Sunday, as Tropical Storm Isaac moved into the Florida Keys.

Although operations will continue to be impacted on Monday, some flights are expected to resume.

The Key West airport suspended operations on Sunday. Tampa's airport had 26 canceled flights on Sunday.

Southwest Florida Airport near Fort Myers on Florida's west coast reported a number of cancellations Sunday and Monday.

New Orleans' airport is open, although the city is under a hurricane warning and a state of emergency is in effect for all of Louisiana. The seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is Aug. 29.

Most airlines have waived change fees through Aug. 29 for travelers holding reservations to the Caribbean, Florida and along the Gulf Coast.

Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas will return to its home port of Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, two days behind schedule, according to spokeswoman Cynthia Martinez.

The delayed arrival will shorten the next cruise from seven to five nights. The ship will skip calls in Falmouth and Labadee and add a call in Nassau.

Passengers on the shortened cruise will receive onboard credit for missing days, Royal Caribbean said.

The Carnival Destiny will switch calls on Monday and Tuesday at Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman.

Florida resorts reported cancellations, especially along the west coast. The South Seas Island Resort Inn on Captiva Island (near Fort Myers) reported $50,000 in cancellations over the weekend, according to news reports.

Although the Ritz-Carlton in Naples remains open, a spokesperson said it will not take reservations until Tuesday.

Isaac toppled more than 550 buildings in the Dominican Republic, caused widespread flooding in Santo Domingo and low-lying areas and caused two deaths. Most resorts did not close or evacuate guests, although widespread power outages were reported.

The storm hammered Haiti, especially the town of Jacmel, south of Port-au-Prince. Six people died in Haiti.

Waves and a storm surge covered the Malecon, Havana's famous seaside boulevard.
